We meet our clients’ satisfaction demands by offering only the most reliable and energy efficient filtration components. All of our systems incorporate the Eco Select TM brand of equipment. An inadequate filtration system can lead to the greatest residual cost for a pool owner. It is not uncommon to see a pool system that has been poorly designed and matched to the performance needs of the pool and/or spa features. Undoubtedly, this will lead to longer scheduled run times, consistently higher dosing of harsh chemicals, daily maintenance routines, and unacceptable performance of water features. FILTERS The single largest contributor to a pleasant pool owning experience is clean water. The filter is designed to remove the particulate matter from the water. Southern Crest Pools will only install filters that incorporate the D.E. filtering system. Diatomaceous Earth is a dense substance that coats the filter media contained within the unit, a technology so efficient that it will trap body oils, suntan lotions, pollens, dust, and even some bacteria, leaving behind sparkling clear, healthier water. Maintenance is cut to a minimum with these units, no more bi-weekly breakdown of the filter media that was required of the traditional cartridge filters. Pumps move water away from the pool, through the filtration, sanitation, and heating components. After this cycle is completed the pump must have enough force to return the sterile water to the pool and all of the installed features. Experience and understanding are a must when choosing a pump for any particular system, taking into account; proper pipe diameter, needed flow rate, overall head loss with regard to placement of the pump away from the pool/spa, and performance needs of the design. We install only Sta- Rite Max-E-Pro™ and Sta-Rite IntelliPro® VS-3050 pumps. These are the most reliable, long lasting motors on the market. Eco Select Choices: Standard pool pumps can consume as much energy as all other home appliances combined! IntelliPro® variable speed pumps can typically cut energy costs by 30% or more! Sanitation is the next step after removing the particulate matter from the water. This is achieved by the use of the IntelliChlor® Chlorine Generator. Electrolytic chlorine generation (or salt chlorine generation) with IntelliChlor®Salt Chlorinator is the easiest, most effective, and convenient way to keep your pool water sparkling clean and sanitized. The IntelliChlor® Salt Chlorinator uses table salt to produce all the chlorine your pool needs, right in your pool – safely, effectively, and automatically. All spas are equipped with Sta- Rite Max-E-Therm heaters. Features include LED temperature readout with dual thermostat controls, temperature safety lockout, and 6-position control panel. PMG burner technology requires no outdoor draft hood. Utilizing the proven Dura-Glas® rust-proof construction and PVC union connections, longevity is the outcome. Heavy-duty unit with cupro-nickel exchanger stands up to the harshest of applications, like low pH, high flow or heavy use. Southern Crest Pools that are designed with an external spa are fully automated with hand held wireless remote control devices. Foremost, this will add to the enjoyment of a newly installed system by simplifying the way the owner interfaces with the different functions of a high performance system. Allowing, with the push of a button, operation of the pool and spa modes, temperature setting of pool and spa water, regulation of the chlorine output by the IntelliChlor® Salt Chlorinator, toggling through the color changing capabilities of the IntelliBrite® LED pool and spa lights, adjusting the various speeds of an IntelliPro® pump, and controlling water features, just to name a few. Automated appliances can eliminate the need to ever go to the equipment location to control the functions of the system. An Eco Select™ Choice: By automating and synchronizing equipment scheduling, EasyTouch® Control Systems can optimize energy use and equipment performance, while preventing problems and waste when users rely on their memories or limited time clocks to operate or deactivate equipment. The main drain of any system is situated in the deepest part of the pool or spa, the place where most debris settles. The main drain is also the greatest source of suction for any filtration system. For these reasons, the drain should be well equipped to remove debris and allow for a sufficient flow rate for high performance pumps. Additionally, the drain should be equipped with an anti- entrapment system to avoid dangerous human blockages. We will only install the AVSC (anti-vortex single channel drain) Main Drain, offered by A&A Manufacturing. This is the only unblockable drain of its kind that is certified by NSF International and is compliant with the Virginia-Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. Unlike traditional drain configurations, the AVSC Main Drain is capable of removing debris, which would otherwise be trapped by a traditional drain cover, and depositing it in the filtration system, where it belongs. Lastly, these drains have a non restrictive design with regards to flow rate, allowing up to 227 GPM, thereby, actualizing the true potential of a high performance pump. The A&A Venturi-Powered Automatic Skimmer dramatically enhances surface skimming action and returns more water to the pool than is initially invested, increasing surface circulation. QuikSkim’s innovative design allows for the FULL use of the pump suction to the main drain, which dramatically aids in debris removal. The QuikSkim is specially engineered to prevent any suction entrapment by breaking the vacuum if blockage occurs and comes with a silk sock basket to trap ultra fine surface debris.
